Now we know that we are in full on rebuild mode, because these are the type of guys you would earmark if you were interested in being competitive.  I do believe there was a report that Rick Porcello was a guy the Bucs should look it. Guess not. And the rebuild beat goes on and on and on.

On the FAN this morning, they speculated that not having a pitching coach could hurt us with veterans like this because they would want to know who they are working with.

Starters are just flying off the shelves: Lindblom to the Brewers; also from KBO Gwang-hyun Kim, to the Cards for two years; Miley to the Reds for two;  Shun Yamaguch from NPB to the Blue Jays for two.

It doesn't appear the Pirates are in the market for a starter. Look like Archer, Brault, Keller, Musgrove and Williams. Then there's guys like Kuhl, Holmes, Stratton and whoever they dumpster dive for prior to ST for depth. They aren't going into the season expecting to compete and aren't likely to pay several million for another starter when several million doesn't even get you a very good one anyway.

They need at least one starter. That rotation is brutally bad. Teheran makes too much sense. Hell, Gio G would too. Do you try something with Eickhoff, who has some degree of upside. Andrew Cashner?

Bullpen needs a lot of help. If you are trading Kela, Betances makes sense. McHugh would too. Everyone is in the price range.
