Maybe I missed it but was there an announcement on what the Pirates received from the Phillies for Dickerson.

BTW- sorry to see him sign with the Marlins. Could have been good OF depth if the Bucs trade Marte.

I have read in a couple places that is was just a cash deal. I believe I read something shortly after the Winter Meetings that this was the entire deal.

For about a year it looked like we traded Dickerson in exchange for nothing (Daniel Hudson).



Then we trade Dickerson for nothing and Hudson makes the last out in the World Series.



Dickerson was one of my favorite Pirates in recent years, wish we could have found a way to keep him around.

I wonder if the Bucs even talked to him about staying.  I don't think there were any rumors of contract talks but there may have been just a quick exchange. He is getting 2 years 17.5 million.  that doesn't seem out of Bucs price range.



If he only went for salary savings and cash then boo to NH and front office.

I have read this too. Baseball reference lists international bonus pool money and ptbnl. Of course the ptbnl could be changed to cash. Just seems like there should have been something listed in official transactions.
