Not going to predict batting order, just position
DH - Josh Bell (maybe play first against LHP)
C - Jacob Stallings (may do decent job)
1B - Jose Osuna (odd stat is that he slugged .521 last year against RHP, not so good against LHP)
2B - Adam Frazier
SS - Kevin Newman (can DH or play 2B some, ColeTucker needs PT)
3B - KeBryan Hayes (Moran is odd man out)
LF - Brian Reynolds (will have good year and play CF occasionally)
CF - Jarrod Dyson (wish we didn't have to, wish Tucker could be tried here)
RF - Gregory Polanco (will have good year and DH occasionally) [smiley=beer.gif][reason]Its Jacob not Gene[/reason]

I'd prefer Jacob to Gene Stallings. Assuming they use a DH (gasp) I hope Osuna plays 1B as well. But I suspect they would DH Polanco because of his shoulder and leave Bell to mangle 1B. I don't see Hayes being the starting 3Bman.

No "Super-2" to worry about with the late start.

I thought Hayes would benefit from another AAA year this season to work on his hitting. At least until he seemed to be growing as a hitter even if it didn't take a full season. So altho there isn't a minor league season now, I think he would struggle badly vs MLB pitchers playing everyday. I could see him on the team as a reserve while they picked favorable spots to start him. But I'm afraid rushing him as the 3B starter might do more harm than good.

DH - Moran against RHP Bell against LHP
1B - Bell Osuna when Bell is DH
2B - Frazier
SS - Newman
3B - Gonzalez with occasional start from Hayes
LR - Reynolds
CF - Dyson
RF - Polanco
C - Jacob "Gene" Stallings ;D
Our real weakness other than catcher is that Hayes may not be ready for the Big Time as an everyday player. Although with a short season maybe you let him play and learn from his hard knocks.

We have one weakness.
It's a REAL weakness, all right.
His name's BOB.
We finished dead last, and more games out of fourth than I care to recall. We have one weakness. Yeah. One weakness.
We can only wish that we had only one real weakness.

Nice post Lobo. Not sure about Hayes yet at 3rd. Moran can be frustrating but I hold out hope that he can still reach higher plateaus offensively. But I am with you on trying Tucker in CF if Newman sticks at SS, which he deserves. This is the year to experiment. It all comes down to hitting with Tucker -- is there anyone that thinks he couldn't handle center?

I think that almost any good defensive shortstop could, in a pinch, play any position on the field (except catcher). I don't think it'd take long for Tucker to become pretty good out there.
