It feels so good when the pain stops!
5th Star: Brian Reynolds continued to rebound from a slow start with a 2-for-4 effort, including an underrated homer-robbing catch in the 8th and a double in the 9th that put the Bucs in scoring position.
4th Star: Jared Dyson walked, stole 2nd and 3rd in the eighth, enabling himself to score on Phil Evans' grounder. It was like hitting a triple. Appreciate his D in CF as well.
3rd Star: Going to give some love to the winning pitcher, Sam Howard, who finished the game with a scoreless 9th.
2nd Star: Gregory Polanco takes this spot on the strength of his 3-run homer in the 2nd that tied the game and startled the fish in the Allegheny!
1st Star: I know there's not supposed to be any such thing, but Kevin Newman is clutch. Walk-off seeing-eye single in the 9th stopped our 7 game slide.
Tip the cap to Colin Moran, who started the 9th inning rally and went 2-for-4, and Chris Stratton, who pitched 1 and 2/3 innings of scoreless relief - almost remarkable given our bullpen troubles.
Now let's start a winning streak!
