On the plus side we did not lose that series.

It's amazing how four teams with some degree of positive tests can screw up an entire schedule. Nothing is happening on the other side, the American League that I know of. Now, teams are going to be forced to play many DHs, like STL and starting pitching everywhere is a mess. Not too many arms are stretched out, putting big time pressure on the bullpens. Verlander, Strasburg, and other pitchers are out for the year or have multiple times on the DL already. I just don't see this finishing well.

This is not Real MLB baseball. Let’s me realistic. Starting with a runner on second base in extra inning games, seven inning double headers, a 60 game season, canceled games because of COVID-19, cardboard cutouts of people in the stands, and piped fan noise being in an empty ballpark. What a joke!

It's weird, I grant you that, but would you have preferred no baseball at all?

Absolutely. The only thing that I want to see, if there is a season next year, the dh implemented. Should not have two different lineups.

Well GT, it's all about money for both the owners and the players. There are contracts signed and they both want to get what they can in terms of money. As long as they get their money who cares what the product is like.

MLB today is worse than Ron Popeil and his veggo-matic and chopp-omatic that he sells on tv. ;D

I was talking with Mrs. Possum the other day and she says she enjoyed watching the KBO on tv more than MLB. She not a big tv ballgame watcher so that speaks for MLB.

Totally agree with you, Possum, and the wife. The game that I grew up as a child, listening to Gunner and Possum, is gone. The owners and players are equally responsible for what has happened to this great game. History has said, that will all of the negative things that have happened, from the Black Sox scandal, racism, drugs, and strikes, the game still came back stronger than ever. I don’t see it happening. Until there is a minimum and maximum salary cap, fans will continue to opt out.

Here ya go Possum. But I agree. i won't watch any extra innings. Baseball isn't played with a gift runner starting the inning at 2B. So AFAIC, these games end after 9 innings and they can do whatever they want after that. But I won't watch.
