It is being reported the Bucs acquired lefty pitcher Austin Davis from the Phils for cash and a player to be named later.

Hoping the PTBNL is Neveraskus.

That would make the trade a win for the Bucs even tho Davis has had no MLB success and was a total disaster this season. Obviously the BC 2020 plan is to throw a bunch of crap against the wall and see what, if anything, sticks.

With the acquisitions of Davis and Fulmer some players will have to be removed from the 28 man roster as well as the 40 man roster.

PTBNL will probably be Hayes or Oneil Cruz.

So the Pirates trade for a pitcher with an ERA of 21.00 and a career ERA of 5.86.



And to get him, it cost us "cash considerations" and a PTBNL.



Should't we be able to acquire a pitcher of that ilk on a trash heap somewhere for no cost ?



I'm making the mistake of assuming that the PTBNL will be the absolute worst player in our system.



But I am fully prepared for the Pirates to send one of our Top 20 prospects to the Phillies.

He had been DFA'd by the Phillies to get rid of him. To the Pirates that's worth cash AND a player.

The player named is Joel Cesar RHP who was an International Draft Pick Player a couple years ago.

How happy is young Mr. Cesar?



And, to go from Philly to The Burgh, this Davis scrub is probably looking at Indeed.com as we speak. Heck, I'm surprised that Ben didn't just go there to get him.
