Geez.

Not sure I've ever seen a Pirate line-up where the best batting average among your 4, 5 and 6 hitters is .164.

Let's call them the Slumber Company.

Lineups - I guess it doesn't matter to modern ballplayer what spot they hit in the lineup. I seem to remember that in my youth (born in 1956) that pretty much every team had a typical order with a few changes for platoons/substitutions.

We have players that have hit in 4 or 5 spots in the line up.

As much as I question the logic of most Shelton decisions, I can understand changing batting positions when no one is hitting and trying anything to shake them up. Now that doesn't mean constantly changing the positions they play or starting Riddle so much. But other than Hayes, it's hard to justify any Pirate in any part of the order other than 8th or 9th.

I finally figured it out! I'm a little slow on the uptake for technology. I could watch the games via the Extra Innings package on the big screen or MLBTV on the computer. On the computer MLBTV gives the option to overlay the radio broadcast over the TV audio but MLBTV is a few pitches behind the Extra Innings broadcast. So I can't match up the timing of the Extra Innings video on the big screen with the MLBTV radio audio on the computer. But now I can watch the game on the big screen using the Firestick to get the MLBTV broadcast and overlay the radio audio via MLBTV on the computer and the timing matches. So now I never again have to hear Block and the timing of Brown on radio will match the video. :D

Williams definitely needs to be back next year.  He's the perfect guy to load a contract up with performance clause.  He needs incentives to get the performance you want from him as many of these guys do.  He's the kind of guy who could pitch for years as he doesn't have to throw hard to get guys out.
