I was wondering the same and can only find something from 2009. The rule then was you revert back to the previous year . The team with the worst record would pick first. Texans had a better record , so if that rule prevails , we would pick first.
I think we are big favorits to finish no worse or no better (?) than tied for then worst record. To finish better or worse (?) than them , it would mean we win 2 of 3 from Cleveland and Texans are swept. Unlikely ....
That said if the 2 Vandy pitchers are said to be about equal , it would IMO be better to let Texas pick first as it's a given we would pick the wrong guy.
