Kela Is Day To Day

It is being reported that Kela is day to day with right forearm tightness. I have always wondered if some players come up with an injury prior to the trade deadline date because they don’t want to change teams during the middle of the season. If a trade happens the player needs to find a new place to live, leave his current residence, does his family move to the new city. There is a lot involved when a player is traded during the season, and does the player actually want to become uprooted?

Kela probably has the internet and can read the standings.

My guess is- he might like The Burgh and everything, but....

I posted under the trade rumors subject that Kela went on the IL today. I don’t like to judge a player, but in my opinion Kela never wanted to be here. If I recall he took the full 72 hours to report to Pittsburgh after he was traded. He has an attitude which we read about when he was with the Rangers. I put him in the same category as Joggin George Hendrick. Hopefully he is ready to pitch after 4 o’clock on July 31st.

you have to wonder why NH wanted him.

Kela qualifies as my least favorable Pirate in the past 5+ years. He has talent, but we have rarely seen it on display.

I think he acquired him to solidify the bullpen, but he sure has been a bust for Pittsburgh.

Kela is a joke

His body must be made with egg shells he is so brittle

Combine his bad attitude, apathy, unavailable to pitch most of the time and you get a wasted roster spot

I agree if they could still trade him for two broken bats, and a rosen bag I would do it.

That hyped pitching coach knew Kela from the rangers. So did Bannister. You have to wonder what's up with the guy.

Maybe those guys told the Rangers to get rid of Kela ASAP.
