Just checking in with the score. It's one spring training game, but you can't help but be impressed with this starting lineup today, which obviously has a chance to be a fairly regular set in the season. They manhandled Drew Smyly.



Brault was sharp save for the walks.

Through 4 innings its 7-0 Bucs.

Adam Frazier with 3 hits, Hayes with 2 hits, Gonzales with 3 hits, Alford with 3 hits, Stallings with a hit and 2 RBIs



5 of the runs are off Smyly and the Braves are playing a few of their regulars.

9-0 in the 7th. 15 hits.

Brault's problem has always been walks. Today was no exception.

Long HR for Stokes.

They had a no-no until 2 outs in the 9th. Nick Mears balks in a run with a guy on 3B.

I still have not made my 2021 prediction, but I don’t think they will lose 100 games. I think they will be an interesting team to follow, much more interesting than 2020.

Was Polanco given the day off?

I think we have a whole team of young guys who will be giving their all and trying to establish themselves  . We have 4 1st round draft picks on the field . Newman , Tucker ,Hayes and Moran so its not like we have a bunch of old retreads . Ala the days of Steve Kemp, Joggin George , Burnitz , Shutdown etc.



I liked the Fowler pick up , it was the kind the move I was thinking when I posted on trying to trade for Derek Fischer . Everyone laughed about it in the forum. ( Brewers got Fischer )



We really need Reynolds to find his swing.
