The Pirates are reporting Hayes re injured his wrist last night taking swings at Toledo. He is returning to Pittsburgh to be re-examined.

Not good news. But I would rather be safe than sorry with this kid. Let's hope for the best.

They finally called Todd Frazier up. He is in the lineup today as the DH batting 6th. I’d imagine he will stay up here as well and get some playing time with Hayes now out a little bit longer.

According to Jason Mackey, Hayes received a treatment, and feeling better. May have to grind through the injury, but it appears the Bucs dodged a bullet.
