Jason Mackey is reporting Todd Frazier has resigned with the Pirates. He will report to the Bucs alternate site.

Good. I think he will be back on the roster before long. They need veteran leadership and an occasional HR. They said the issue was versatility but then kept the unproven and struggling Fowler over the versatile Difo. For OF depth, Reynolds can slide over to CF as needed and Evans can play LF, RF and Gonzalez has played some OF too. I think they are better with Frazier, who only plays 1B and 3B than with Fowler who only plays OF.

Good move bringing him back-Has those intangibles which only come with experience

The Pirates need to add Frazier sooner rather than later. It would have been a perfect situation for him to pinch hit in today’s game in the eighth inning. They need to add that veteran bat to the bench.

Frazier is on the road trip on the taxi squad, and it would be great if they added him to the roster in order to DH in the next two series in Detroit and Minnesota.

So far in the first week since Frazier was added to the roster, he has done very little at the plate. I like having him as a veteran on the team, but he will have to begin hitting or else he will eventually be released. Possibly he will find his batting stroke while on this road trip.
