Thank goodness Hayes is getting a day off. Playing 4 days in a row must have tuckered him out. Not to mention playing 8 games since the first week of April. Good thing they had Monday off or the whole team might have to forfeit from exhaustion. The Pirates are on the cutting edge of modern baseball philosophy like getting plenty of rest for their players. That must be why they play so well.

I don't get the Tom experiment. When he was walking a lot he had some good value. Even liked when they moved him to second in the order just before Hayes came back.

In June he has one hit, one BB, and 2 HBP. His OBP as a Pirate is now down to .326.

Worst of all, he isn't even displaying that good eye it seemed he had.

Polanco needs to get on a long tear with the bat to have any hope of him getting traded. He won't be looked at for anything more than a lefty DH.

He's costing the Pirates more runs as an outfielder. It's embarrassing watching guys run on him.

Un-frickin'-believable! Hayes should demand a trade now just so he doesn't have to put up with this stupidity for the next five years.
