In fairness to Bonilla for getting paid for doing nothing, he just had 1 fewer hit than the Pirates had at Coors Field Tuesday and scored only 2 fewer runs than the Pirates scored in the entire series. So considering the Pirate payroll over that 3 day series, I think Bonilla was probably paid a fair amount for doing nothing.

Just think. If BOB had to pay that contract, would Bonilla still be a starting OF'er with Polanco? He doesn't like to pay anyone for not being on the field.
