Both starters made their MLB debuts this season. This is Kranick's second start, and Megill's 4th start.

Kranick went (famously I might add) 5 perfect innings in his start.

Megill went 4.1 in his debut, and 5 each his next two starts. The Mets have won all three of his starts.

In case you were wondering, obviously Megill didn't qualify for the win in his first outing, he was taken out with one out in the 5th and the Mets in the lead.

In his second start, he was done after 5 innings, and the Mets losing 3-0. They rallied later to win the game 4-3. In his third start, he was once again done after 5 innings, and the game tied.

Garrett Jones sounds pretty good in the studio in McKenry's seat, way better to listen to. He looks like he slept in his clothes after a night of partying though. What do I know of fashion, I wear sweat pants pretty much all the time.

Newman has a hit in 5 of his last 6 games including a first inning HR on July 4th against the Brewers in what was the only run needed in a Bucs 2-0 victory.

Castro is 1-3 with a HR last night since his latest call up. Oliva had a double last night and a PH single in game 1 today.

Megill pitched in one spring training game for the Mets, started at AA. I know the Mets staff injuries helped, but this guy was rapidly promoted.

I like seeing that with organizations. If a guy can play, get him in there.
