His .056 batting average for St.L. was too good to pass up. ;D



28 years old, looks like basically a career minor leaguer with some ability to hit in the minors. I was disappointed to see the Pirates only gave up "cash considerations." I was hoping they had packaged Polanco, Tom, Perez, Oliva, Gonzalez, Newman Tucker, Keller, Craig, Cahill, Holmes, Crick, Crowe, Kuhl, Ponce and De Jong in exchange for him. ;)

The guy doesn’t have a ton of power, but he has had 10 hits since joining the team on Monday. He appears to be much better than some of the players who have played for the Pirates this season. I have enjoyed watching him.

Seems to be a line drive hitter who hits the ball hard. The opposite of Will Craig who consistently hit the ball very softly.

Probably because he wasn't developed in the Pirates system.
