Both Michael Chavis and Anthony Alford have been activated for today’s game, but no corresponding moves yet. Could be Park, and Castro as a guess.

I just checked the Official Pirates site and they do not list Park or Castro as active players.

Notwithstanding the base running blunder, I like what I saw tonight from Michael Chavis. Two hits, and I liked his play at first base. Probably the DH is coming to the National League next year, so Chavis could be someone who could fill the need.

Chavis has legit power. In the minors in 2017 he had 31 HRs. With Boston in 2019 he had 18 HRs in 347 ABs. In limited MLB experience over 2+ years he's accumulated 26 HRs in 580 ABs. The Pirates desperately need power.
