According to the Shedman Scoreboard, the Indians have gotten worse. They traded two players worth seven total points while receiving back two players worth a total of only three points. But in spite of that, they have six total points so they're kicking Ben Cherington's butt, who hasn't done a bloody thing since he's been here except for standing beside the tracks like a bum, imitating a potted plant, and crawling through peanut butter with a snail. Aw com'on Doc. You know this thread isn't really about grading other GMs' off season moves. The scoring system is about the same as the one on "Whose Line Is It Anyway" when Drew Carey used to say "the show where everything's made up and the points don't matter."



It's really just an excuse to remind us countless times every day that Nutting is cheap and Cherington isn't doing anything. You see, we need that constant reinforcement because we aren't smart enough fans to figure that out for ourselves.

I am not a GM. If they feel a trade improves their team, so be it.  All I do is add up the scores when the GM acquires a major league ball player. Cherington did not get negative points for trading Bell.  But under no circumstances are their negative points for any team. I will rush to my keyboard to commend Cherington if he acquires a major league ball player.

Yeah, I know. I'm mostly amused by it all. I don't mind the "Nutting is cheap" stuff because that's true. But after how much he despised Huntington and screamed for his firing, I figured Shed would give BC a little bit of time before going nuclear on him, at least more than seven minutes.

Even if the ball player is rated as a one or a two? Because I'm completely opposed to BC adding that type of player and making the team worse than it is. But if you're okay with seeing the team get worse . . .

I'm not convinced that Ben even knows what a major league player is anymore. At least, not since he joined BOB.
