Seems to me he could spend his time evaluating a better arm.

I would think so. Can you name a GM who, at anytime in the history of baseball, didn't "evaluate" or "see what he had"? I'll sit over here while you type up that list. Take your time.

Give me a word. I'll define it for you. I shouldn't have to. You've been following these guys for a while, haven't you?
It doesn't take brain surgery. All anybody has to do is step back for 10 minutes and think about what's been happening in the past xx years.
I know from first-hand experience that Shed's Pirates Thesaurus is far better than anything that I can whip up.
