As of May 30 teams may carry no more than 13 pitchers. The Pirates currently have 14 although some should not be in MLB. So 2 must be removed from the roster to add Conteras and De Los Santos and another must go by next Monday.

I'm not sure I understand why teams can only have a specified # of Pitchers.

What's really sad is that even with 14 pitchers on the roster, the Pirates have had to use a position player to save the arms in the pen.

It's obvious Bryse Wilson wasn't using performance enhancement drugs.
