Davis dribbles to the pitcher, hit the catcher with his bat, and apologizes in mid run

Rowdy singles.
He's the last pitcher to get a base hit in MLB

Final 18-8
An 8 spot and a 6 spot.
What's wild, for those who haven't looked at the box, it was a 3-2 game heading to the top of the 6th.

What a joyful game.
Feigl's feel-good story lasted for one batter. We got lots of camera time and interviews with his family after he made his debut by getting the last out of the 7th. His next batter (top of 8th) homered. Next batter singled. He got out of that but in the 9th it was double, ground out, single, single, double, single. He was so bad that he couldn't even finish with the score 15-6. Tellez then allowed both runners to score who Feigl had left on base.
Feigl's stats were: 1.2 IP, 7 hits, 6 ERs, 1 HR, 0 BB, 0 SO. ERA 32.40.
Cherington must be shopping at the dumpster behind the Dollar Store.

It makes sense. The Pirates are not about winning but try to find ways to keep the fans interested. Bobble-heads, fireworks, nicknames, catch-phrases, watching announcers have a good time. Lots of different uniforms. Pup Night. Good food. Career minor leaguers getting their name in "baseball.reference." We get the feel-good moments. The other teams get the wins.

Haven't heard from Doc. Someone should check and make sure he's okay. After hearing Cruz is no longer going to play shortstop, he might have literally died and gone to heaven
I was busy helping one of our kids last evening and didn't get home until the game was nearly over. My brother did text me the info about Cruz and I had two reactions: the outfield is still not far enough away and, after watching him walk to and from SS each inning a few weeks back while I was at a game, I wondered if he'll be able to get out to CF before the inning starts and will they have to add two commercials to the half innings when he's strolling back to the dugout when the inning ends.
