Today is the anniversary of Clemente's 3000th and last hit. In his honor, fellow Puerto Rican Jadier Molina warmed up in in shirt honoring him.

I've always hated the way Molina has kicked the Pirates' butt for so many years but that's a classy move on his part. Well done.

Francisco Cervelli has officially announced his retirement from baseball. Thank you for the time with our Bucs. Enjoy retirement and wishing you good health.

All any coach does is kick a can further down the street and deceive The Yinz into thinking they're doing something.

We need J.T. Realmuto, not more curved mirrors.

Who are all these people that are being deceived by Nutting & Co.? I don't know of any Pirate fans who are not frustrated by how the team operates. Distrust of the owner's motives seems universal among fans. The team can issue any statement it wants about building a contender but the fans' attitude remains "We'll believe it when we see it." No one's jumping for joy at the latest waiver pick up. No one's excited about the next Riddle or Neverauskas. I don't know of any Pirate fans who believe anything the Pirates tell them anymore. That doesn't mean we can't hope they get better. But hoping they get better is a lot different from being gullible.
