Hard to argue with those facts. And they made no improvements over the winter. Why shouldn't we expect more of the same in 2025?

The writers at Bucs on Deck (4) just posted their predictions for the year. They ranged from a low of 76 wins to an astronomical high of 79. And one or more had been in Florida for spring training. I may have been too optimistic in my prediction on the thread here.

Many sports writers are predicting the Bucs won’t have a .500 season or better, but if a few things go right your prediction could happen. One thing they must avoid which they haven’t done under Shelton is avoid those long losing streaks. 7, 8, or 10 game losing streaks buries a team. I have hope that Hayes, and Suwinski can have bounce back seasons which will be very important for a season over .500. I am still very disappointed that they didn’t add an additional bat this offseason, but let’s be optimistic on this eve of Opening Day.
