I too find it odd. Parity comes to mind but that is a joke in MLB. If it stays this way it will make the Playoff race more exciting.

There are currently 5 teams on pace to lose 100 or more games, which I believe would be a new record. There is an old thread on Reddit where someone had the research down, and others were able to make it more accurate. Using that info, and if it's correct, there have been 5 seasons with 4 teams losing 100 or more games, to include each of the last 4 full seasons: 2002, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023.

Bucs made it twice 2021 and 2022. Terrible time to be a Buc fan. Can't recall the 2023 record but I remember it being a much better season. We came close to 80 wins I think. We would have had a 3 peat if not for Covid. 2020 we were well on our way to 100 loss season.

Everyday during the season, I have two wishes: for the Pirates to win and for the Hated Brewers to lose. I'm going to enjoy these 24 hours.
