There were! I have inside sources and they gave me the tape. Here's the transcriptions.



GM: I saw what we had and my philosophy is we should have won the division.



Shildt: I think I'll call Ben Cherington.

Yankees terminate their hitting coach and third base coach. They're expected to fire their assistant hitting coach, too.

Erik Gonzalez and Keury Mela are now free agents. Somehow, I don't remember the Pirates signing Mela on August 3.
