Beeks comes on, gives up a single, an RBI double, a sac fly that BDLC gets an out if he can throw the ball anywhere near the plate, a grounder to Triolo who nails the runner at home, and a fly out as the Bucs surrender 2 more runs.

4-0 Cards.

I don't want BDLC back next season if this is the guy we're getting. He's done diddly.

Wow, Bart with the worst strikeout of the night. He swung at two pitches that not only weren't in the zone, they weren't even in the same time zone

That's it folks. BDLC with the patented strike out swinging at a pitch in the dirt.

Another loss for Skenes against the Cardinals where he was awesome.

Mrs. Doc and I have been away for the past 10 days and not due back until the weekend. The Internet has been sparse and unreliable where we’ve been so I’ve not been able to keep up, or post, as much as I usually do. The weekend series with KC, and last night’s game with the Cardinals, have been representative of management decisions, coaching strategies, and player performance all season long. The whole operation, top to bottom, has been pathetic. I’m angry with myself for having hope that it would be better this year, that I had expectations for an improved season. Obviously, I’m the problem. I’m sure the Pirates organization would agree.

So, someone who understands odds - what are the odds Grandal returns next year? What are the odds Haines returns as hitting coach? I'm not getting the sense the team plans much by way of changes (unless Bob has secret ideas).

4-0- I'll bet Skenes can't wait to get the hell out of Pittsburgh

I think other than Marin, Rabelo, Brock, Kelly, bullpen guy, there will be some clearing of the house after the season is over. I think it's the only way Shelton retains his job. They can't keep trying to do the same thing. I'm not saying they have to go the complete opposite. Haines philosophy might work for some of these guys, but you can't have a one size fits all philosophy. Not sure who on the team actually is bought in with Haines.

Hope it's a good time away, Doc.
