Notice I didn't wish him any injury or illness. This was on the advice of the Mrs.

6 games before the Phillies. Still a chance they could clinch in the city of brotherly love. If it is going to happen there me and Wildwoodcoach will be getting tickets for the clincher.

What is ironic is in the Pirate prediction contest no one picked them to win 73 which
is the number of wins needed not to lose 90. no one picked 78 either. Right now i think they will win 76
which would make Utah Pirate the winner

That would make them 76-86 which would be a 14 game improvement
from 2022. Have to figure having Cruz for a full season is certainly good
for at least 5-7 more wins

I thought I was being optimistic predicting 69 wins. With the injury to Cruz, Brubaker and Velesquez I can't believe that this team will win over 70 games. Add in Shelton's management and I am flummoxed at the way this team has performed as far as wins go.

After how bad this season has been and how well the team has done, I expect them to be contenders next year (maybe close to favorites for the division).

I am looking at a starting pitching group consisting of
Keller
Oviedo
Skenes
Priester
Brubaker
Hopefully Velesquez Ortiz, Contreras, and Kranick can be thrown
into the mux- Looks deep. hopefully no more bullpen games
