I doubt the players even want the day off. Harrison was out for so long, I imagine he wants to play now. Dickerson was going good at 7 for his last 17 before yesterday. I doubt he wanted to take a day off. Pro athletes are very competitive. They want to play and they want to win. I don't think he's making friends by not letting them play while they lose. Hurdle seems like a great guy personally. The Pirates don't have the best talent. If they are going to win it will be because they utilize the talent they have to the max. Hurdle is not the guy to do that.

Maybe its time to test Glasnow again? I would run him out there in the 8th or even the 9th to see how he fares.

Even if Vazquez is done for the next year (still too early to speculate on that), I honestly think they'll be fine in the pen.



Rodriguez has been great. Feliz has been pretty good aside from his last couple of outings. Crick has been good. Glasnow has been good. Brault has been good out of the pen. I'd hate to lose Vazquez, and I'm still hoping this is nothing serious. But, elbow pain and forearm pain almost always means TJ.
