Polanco had his one bright shining moment for the game, now he's back to being who he is

Okay, the Pirates have a darn good top 3rd of a line up.

You really have to admire his consistency.

Shed says he does it all.

Still lacks power. But there will be 5 batters who have success at the ML level.

But those other three spots in the order.....WOOF! There's still not enough length. If just ONE of Gamel/Tom/Polanco/Newman/Gonzalez would just hit in the .750 OPS range, that would be useful, and not asking for much.
I would put our 1,2,and 3 guys up against most teams. The problem is except for an occasional Stallings and with no Moran right now 4 thru 8 would have difficulty making a AAA lineup

Add Stallings to a future lineup.

The Pirates are half way to a winning lineup.

Yeah. He strikes out, he flies out, he grounds out, he strikes out, he fouls out, he strikes out.

That's what I was saying, with Moran coming back, the top 5 lacks big HR power, but it's a legit lineup. That's why it would be great if one of the other three could at least be above league average, and we'll just suffer with the other two.

I'm just worried that Shelton will continue to bat Polanco at cleanup when Moran comes back. I want to see Frazier-Hayes-Reynolds-Moran-Stallings. Pull the next three out of the hat, but I'd put Gamel/Evans 6th, Polanco 7th, Gonzalez/Newman 8th
