This has become ridiculous. It keeps getting worse, watching him continue to fail, being completely surprised when he gets a hit. I know there's no one else who has shown he's capable of even average success playing in the outfield but Shelton can't keep running him out there. It's an embarrassment to the organization.
He's completely useless. There is no one they could replace him with who would be any worse.
That's true. And maybe that's why the Pirates haven't released him and replaced him with someone just as bad. It would be a black mark, and an embarrassment, on the organization that there's no one who can do better.
release Polanco and send Tucker to right for a two month tryout?
I was thinking the same thing. Tucker needs to get consistent at bats, even if he's playing out of position. I'm not keen on playing infielders in the outfield but I'm desperate to get Polanco off the field, even if he occasionally blasts singles to the shortstop.
