It takes money for Ben to get a guy.

Eddie Rosario was put on outright waivers by the Twins.  If the Pirates are already planning to use Reynolds in CF, I see no reason why they cannot put a claim in and pay him the ~$10M next year. There will still be plenty of ABs for Alford, and by mid year you can move on from him and/or Polanco, depending on how things are going.



Of course, my preference would be to see them sign Jackie Bradley Jr so they have a top tier defensive CF, but Nutting...
