The Mets have interviewed Dave Littlefield for their front office opening, according to Marc Carig of The Athletic (via Twitter). Currently the VP of player development with the Tigers, Littlefield once served as the GM of the Pirates. Of course, his seven-year run at the helm of the Pittsburgh roster was not terribly successful
But with the Mets he will have a ton more money to spend on lousy ball players and hair gel! 8-)
After the hair gel there won't be much money left for the players.

He might have some money, but not a lot. The Wilpon family is famously cheap for a large market team.
Charlie Morton had a rough outing tonight. 2.1 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 2 BBs, WP. The announcers were attributing his problems to the fact he hasn't pitched in 17 days. Maybe that's it. But this looked eerily familiar to how he Pitched for the Pirates every 5th day.

I agree he did look much like the former Charlie Morton. He did mention last year after the season that 2018 may be his final season. He may just retire after this postseason.
The Brewers announced today that they will be seeking two new coaches, as Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel was among those to report. Hitting coach Darnell Coles decided to leave the organization, while bullpen coach Lee Tunell and head athletic trainer Dan Wright will not be asked back.

Interesting that they have that much turnover after a successful season.

If it would have been the Pirates instead of the Brewers TBMTIB would have given them at a minimum 4 yr contract extensions.
