The Pirates played one of baseball’s best teams this weekend and were competitive in each, especially against three pretty good starting pitchers.  In the past five years, all the way up to a month ago, that wouldn’t have happened.  Progress is being made, even here at the very beginning of the change over to the young players.

Thank you, Ben Cherington.

This can't be said enough.  The future of this club is evolving this year and looks very promising.

Agreed.  With this owner, building through the draft and trading for other teams' young talent is the only way a franchise like the Pirates can succeed.  It takes time.  I like the job BC's doing so far.

I attended all 3 games in Tampa. I got to see a loss Friday, a loss Saturday and a loss Sunday. On Monday I went to Pirate City and watched the Pirates of the Florida (basically extended spring training games). The lowest of the low rookie leagues. They lost too. Then watched the Pirates/Nats on TV. They lost. I wonder if they'll ever win again. :(

It's not the Pirates that are causing the losing it is the Bobster Jinx that is doing it. I know you love Pirates baseball as much as I do and the losing over and over each season is getting tired. So I won't criticize your frustration because I feel that way too many days when I can't stand to listen to the games. (Announcers notwithstanding)

Hanging in there guy.
