I don't think that is a good comparison because they started the season late last year. The number of games played would seem more relevant.

Yea it doesn’t look great the forecast in DC but there looks like a little window between maybe 2 and 4 o clock where they could sneak it in and make it at least an official game especially with the pitch clock now. I was looking at potential make-up dates for this game and there really aren’t any good ones at least in the foreseeable future. The Pirates are off on Monday before heading to Tampa but the Nats play at home against the Cubs so Monday is out, and I looked in a few weeks after the Pirates play in Baltimore May 12-14 and while the Pirates have Monday the 15th off the Nationals play at home against the Mets that Monday so that day won’t work either. So they are gonna need to try and sneak this game in today somehow it looks like because there are really no good makeup dates to be had. Monday and May 15th coming from Baltimore which would be a real short trip would have been perfect had the Nationals been off either day so might be a long day today waiting for this one to get played but I think they should try to do it if they can even if you play 5 or 6 innings.
