I know many believe the Bucs won’t eat the remaining money on his contract, but I think his time with the Pirates is about over. I would not be shocked if today was his last game as a Pirate.
Economics 101 introduces students to “sunk costs”. The Tellez situation is the perfect example of sunk costs. The Pirates have to pay him whether he stays, is injured, or is released. Releasing him, therefore, actually benefits the team because a better player will take his place. It’s not hard to understand yet, Bob Nutting, who I’m sure took Econ classes in school, seems not to comprehend this concept. Nitwit.

It’s proof once again that winning isn’t the top priority and, until it is, this is the BS we as fans have to deal with.

Jake Lamb where you??
Where is he? He’s getting plenty of rest from playing in major league games. I imagine if he’s recalled, he’ll sit on the bench for two or three games before he plays, where he’ll get rusty.

It seemed comical that Greg Brown was getting excited when saying the Brewers were losing today as if (1) the Pirates are not below .500, (2) we're in the middle of a hot pennant race and (3) it's not just mid-May. Brown tries too hard to try to make the Pirates exciting and it comes off sounding phony (because it is).

Bring home a winner. I've got to watch the PGA.
PGA-is that miniature golf?
I'll have you know the child you raised texted back and forth the whole 5 hours of the Major Championship.

I should have a talk with him. Needs to get his priorities straight
