Re: 2024 Official Minors Thread
looking at minor league stats and for Greensboro, Luis Peralta 23 year old lefthander has 36 strikeouts in 18 innings.
in 2022 at Bradenton he was 0-7 with ERA over 6 but he had 97 strikeouts in 60 innings
He was back at Bradenton last year and went 0-3 with a 4.96 ERA, 67 strikeouts in 52 innings.
Looks like he may be someone worth following this season.

I saw this video yesterday morning, 3P. You have to love a player who just won't give up. The pitcher, first baseman, and third baseman were all caught napping. And give credit to the hitter/runner who had his head up, taking note of where the defenders were and that they left bases uncovered. I'll never figure out why some people think baseball is boring.3pirates3 wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 12:48 am Another one for Doc - https://x.com/Jared_Carrabis/status/1794387697760661670

Garret Forrester that`s the player we were thinking about from Oregon St. Guy is playing all over at C/1B/3B. Nick Cimillo seems to be ready soon to move up as a bit older. Starting to look al little better. Maybe Nunez at AAA is also taking step forward and young plus he has those AB`s mentioned.

Shawn Ross is kind of an interesting suspect. Bucs have him playing catcher at Greensboro .

Re: 2024 Official Minors Thread
I keep watching the box scores for the Grasshoppers players, and Johnson who I thought would be hitting well by now is still hitting around.190, but Charles McAdoo is hitting.321. McAdoo appears to be a draft choice that other teams passed over, but the Pirates may have found a very good player. He will be a player to follow this summer.
Re: 2024 Official Minors Thread
Yep, if McAdoo keeps hitting he will make it to Altoona this year. Johnson walks a lot. Time for him to start getting hits though.fjk090852-7 wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2024 11:30 pm I keep watching the box scores for the Grasshoppers players, and Johnson who I thought would be hitting well by now is still hitting around.190, but Charles McAdoo is hitting.321. Gorski has some serious home and away splits. About time he gets a cup of coffee.
