I agree.  If they bring in Santana and he blows the lead, I am not going to be nearly as upset with him because I know he needs some time to adapt.  Same for Neverauskas if they bring him up.
You seem to assume they will blow the lead, and at least they might get better, unlike the over the hill gang we keep running out.

Any rookie pitcher is almost guaranteed to blow a lead on occasion.  When that happens, I will tend to be forgiving a lot more often than I would be with a veteran pitcher.
