Watch him be the next Barry Zito

Nah! Walker Buehler is to go in game 6 per The Athletic.

Some people scoff about third base coaches. Ron Washington just helped Atlanta take a 3 run lead.

Held the slow running d'arnaud at third on a two out double, when some coaches may have tried sending him to a sure out under the guise of "forcing them to make the throw".

Knowing your personnel. Hottest hitter up next, Rosario battles Buehler, and sends a three run shot.

Yes, it all matters.

I was referring to Zito coming in for relief against cincy, not starting

15 of the 30 MLB teams had winning records, here they are ranked by win totals.

These teams were eliminated in the playoffs

These teams did not make the playoffs***

These teams are in the World Series

Giants 107

Dodgers 106

Rays 100

Astros 95

Brewers 95

White Sox 93

Red Sox 92

Yankees 92

Blue Jays 91***

Mariners 90***

Cardinals 90

Braves 88

Athletics 86***

Reds 83***

Phillies 82***

These are the only things common with all of these teams:

They are scheduled to play 162 regular season games.

They play by the same rules, except the DH is used in all games played in the American League parks, and not used in games played at a National League park.

Is the current playoff format fair? Should the WC be a series? Should there even have been a second WC? Should there even be divisions?

We have a new CBA that will be on the horizon, and I'll start a thread to discuss the possible future of MLB and playoffs, to see how people view them.

I'm fairly certain, the current format as we know it, is on borrowed time.

It's interesting to note, that of the three teams that won 100 or more games, not one of them made it to the World Series, and in fact, none of them even came close to making it.

I see no reason to change.  Even if I did, I wouldn't base the decision on one year or on teams that finished .500.
