No, not "as good" as Williams. They're "as bad" as Williams. Why would we want more players like that? I thought you wanted better players than what the Pirates currently have? You're really confusing.

McWilliams has no MLB experience but did compile a nifty 8.18 ERA in 2019 with a staggering 72 hits in 44 innings for a WHIP of 2.023. His $750,000 is more than the minimum. After that signing, I'm guessing there are some Mets fans wishing their GM could be more like Cherington.
