I am wondering the same thing. I know he has had some elbow problems and perhaps he is on the team. That is a good question.

My point was- we weren't barren. We were barren only because of constraints; self-imposed.

The main "constraint" being player development.

I was referring to financial limits placed by the owner, but you raise a good point there. Personally, I think that "questionable evaluations" is somewhere on the list. Some guys just didn't pan out....others did, but after leaving town.

Some injuries, too, but injuries happen to other clubs as well.

As a die hard devoted Pirate Fan for the past 55 years since 1967; I have to say that this 2022 opening day roster is the worst I have seen. I don’t know how they will avoid another 100 loss season unless our best prospects are called up.

We could have Ted Williams AND Cy Young down there and 100's still in the bag. In fact, if I believe everything I've read, Ted Williams AND Cy Young MUST be down there somewhere.

Allen's hammy must be pretty bad. He was placed on the 60 day DL.
