They have the doubleheader in Cincy on Saturday.
The Pirates last 20 game winner was John Smiley in 1991. Doubt if we will ever see another one- Hell, 10 would be nice :D
Here are the team leaders in wins for the 21st century.

2000 Silva 11-9

2001 Ritchie 11-15

2002 Fogg 12-12, Wells 12-14

2003 Suppan 10-7, Fogg 10-9, Wells 10-9

2004 Perez 12-10

2005 D. Williams 10-11

2006 Snell 14-11

2007 Gorzelanny 14-10

2008 Maholm 9-9

2009 Ohlendorf 11-10, Duke 11-16

2010 Maholm 9-15

2011 Correia 12-11

2012 Burnett 16-10

2013 Liriano 16-8

2014 Volquez 13-7

2015 Cole 19-8

2016 Nicasio 10-7

2017 Cole 12-12

2018 Taillon 14-10, T. Williams 14-10

2019 Musgrove 11-12

2020 R. Rodriguez 3-2

2021 Stratton 7-1

I would assume that 2017 was Cole's best year in the Majors
2019 with Houston was his best year.

I realize that Cherington takes a lot of heat about some of the players he has picked up but picking up Gamel sure is a plus

WWD2, a suggestion. When you comment, use the "reply" button instead of the "quote" button unless you are commenting on a particular post you want to quote. That way the threads don't get super long by repeating long quotes that don't pertain to your comment. ;)

I've been trying to figure out how people are able to quote a bit of a previous post in order to comment on it. I'm doing something wrong. Do I highlight and then click quote without clicking replay at all?

Couple of ways:

Copy it, hit Reply, then Paste and delete the part you don't want,

Or,

Quote, then delete the part you don't want.

I usually do it the second way.

Marisnick is on 10-day DL due to an injured thumb.

Pirates pulled the plug on Beau Sulser pretty quickly, I wonder what that's about? Hope he clears and they keep him. Looking at his stats vs. Beede's, not sure this was a good move. Looks like they have 2 candidates to put on the 60 day IL to have made room for Beede, Marisnick and Perez.
