Meanwhile, the Tigers are talking with Lo about an extension.

that was a nifty play be Marcano, nice turn by Bae.

When I think about it, this game was so close to being a complete blowout had it not been for some good defense.

"Historic funk....unprecedented" says Brown.

There you are guys. We're not watching bad baseball. We're watching history take place right before our very eyes.

A meeting to see what they can do to change their luck? I knew it, they're just unlucky!
When you send out lineups with 7 or 8 players who can't be expected to hit well, these things happen.

Santana has been on the decline for several years. I'm sure the ban on shifting has helped him (he's hitting .241 now compared to .202 last year, .214 in 2021 and .199 in 2020) but his power is gone. 2 HRs in 141 ABs. That prorates to about 7 in a full season. But at .241, he's one of their top hitters.

I don't agree with Capps, that's a borderline pitch.

Marcano ejected after the game. I guess he figured he wasn't playing tomorrow anyhow. He had one of the five hits.

That is just sadder than sad.  I'm serious.

And, wasn't that Hayes' only home run?  I expect more from my third baseman.  I just do.  IDGaRA about his darned defense.

I expect more from Bryan Reynolds, too.

Suwinski has one HR that didn't come in PNC or Colorado.

He has one extra base hit in May, a solo HR against Toronto when the score was 8-1 at the time.

As meaningless as they come.

But, the only guy that was hitting at Indy has already been called up, Palacios. Who, btw, is now 0-9 since being called up.
