1-17 RISP. 12 LOB, which is only lower because of TellezTubby hitting into two double plays. When hitting into one would have at least brought a run home, he strikes out swinging at balls so far out of the zone a little leaguer wouldn't have offered at.
As nice as it is to win, this one should have been a laugher.
Tellez has got to go. Not next week, not tomorrow, right now. They're in Chicago. Just leave him there, I'm sure there's plenty of places for him to eat. Indy is close by, drop Triolo off there while you're at it.

A decent starting pitching performance again today. That makes four times in the four games in Chicago. Gonzales with a big two run, two out hit made the difference. The offense needs a thumper or two in the line-up. That, and this rotation, can make us a definite playoff contender. So do you suppose the Pirates brass will do something about that? Me, neither.
I'd laugh except what you're saying is so true, and it makes me sad.

I'm also thankful for Happ's streak ending. I'm so sick of hearing about it.

Has Tellez made five outs today so far? Can things get worse for him?
I know many believe the Bucs won’t eat the remaining money on his contract, but I think his time with the Pirates is about over. I would not be shocked if today was his last game as a Pirate.

Gotta mention Cruz as well- i believe he is 0-16
Getting back to Tellez. Gonzales has only been up for about 2 weeks and has
as many RBI's as Tellez

What is really crazy is that the Bucs went 4-2 on this road trip against two
divisional foes that are ranked ahead of us and we are all bitching.

I wasn’t aware of his streak but I’m not surprised by it. He kills us as much as any player ever has.

The Bucs were the only team in the NL Central to win today
