Since Nova is not very good and NH is conservative and careful by nature, I have got to believe that we are not sending them a legitimate top 30 prospect.

On another note, doesn't Nova have to come in and take Locke's or Vogelsong's spot?



He can't replace Cole or Taillon.



And they're probably not ready to give up on Liriano (yet).



He's scheduled for Wednesday so I would just start him on Wednesday -- since Locke has no business starting any way.



I view Nova as a marginal, razor-thin upgrade over our current No. 4/5 type starters -- maybe. But not by much.

Liriano goes to Toronto!

Best move of the deadline by far getting Liriano out of here and saving 13 million for next season. He sucked this season and needed to go. The Pirates have freed up a ton of money for next season now to go sign 1 or 2 above average quality starting pitchers.

Apparently we are also sending two prospects to Toronto?

So who knows anything about Drew Hutchison?
