Houston vs Los Angeles



This is what many predicted at the beginning of the season and especially the early months of the season. They were the two best teams most of the season in their perspective leagues.



Sports Illustrated predicted the Astros as 2017 WS Champs in 2014 after they had three 100 loss seasons in a row. It was the cover of their June 30, 2014 issue.

This has to be a disappointment for MLB though. A Yankess - Dodgers matchup would have had east and west coast interest and two huge markets. With everything centered in the west, there has to be a drop-off in interest in the east.

Do you think the droughts might cause more interest? The Dodgers haven't been there in 29 years. The Astros have never won a World Series with only one appearance in their history and they got swept, all close games.
