A very rocky outing for Glasnow today. Seven runs , 6 earned in two innings. There are times when I think he will never be the pitcher who we thought he would be. A couple more outings like the one today, and I cannot see the Bucs bringing him north. I know what does he have to prove at Indy, but how can you bring a pitcher north who cannot get major league hitters out with any consistency.

He has time to turn it around but there is little reason to think he can do it. If he was just wild and didn't give up the hits that he does (come closer to 6.5 per nine innings) he could be useful. Being wild and hittable isn't a good combination.

He did have 5 strike outs in 2.2 innings. Five out of eight outs were strike outs? That's crazy too.

I would hope they don’t give up on him, but if he does not soon turn it around a tough decision will have to be made especially at this time next year since he will be out of options.

Hope that I am wrong, but it appears that Glasnow is going to be one of the many Triple A player's that were stars, but for some reason, unable to take the next step. Question. How was his control in the minors? I find it hard to believe that it was this bad. Could it be mental or psychological?

If Glasnow is sent down to Indy I hope that they do not put him in the rotation. In the BP is where he belongs and let some of the younger and guys with a better chance to be a MLB starter make up the rotation. No way does Glasnow take any starts away from Keller when he makes the jump to AAA.

I doubt Glasnow would bump Keller from any rotation.
