If Moroff proves he is a player in the minors again, he will be back up.  There is also speculation that Mercer and Harrison won't be on the team all year.

You mean between them, or 5 starts a week each?   It's about as certain as death and taxes that hurdle will start them somewhere 4 times a week between them.

Like I said, there's 450 at bats between them this year that could be going towards figuring out if someone who can help us become winners again is legit or just another suspect.

Freese might DH the opening series, but I don't see him getting 4-5 starts a week.

You're not going out on much of a limb if you're saying you don't expect SRod to start 4-5 games a week and Freese to also start 4-5 games a week lol.

The DH gives them the perfect way to use Frazier as their leadoff hitter. They may not see a LHP that series.

Of course, by game 2 or 3, Hurdle will need to give some players a scheduled day off. :)

Freese plays two positions. Rodriguez plays them better on defense too. I don't expect Freese to start much. If he does, that means either Moran or Bell got hurt or are struggling.

Rodriguez can play every where. I don't expect him to start too much, but I expect him to be a super sub. I think Rodriguez is the back up CF and SS. There is more opportunity for him to play and get innings in the field.

Moroff wouldn't have that same opportunity. He is mostly a 2B. Sure he can fill in at SS if need be, but as of now the Pirates don't project him as a SS or 3 B down the road. There is plenty of depth at 2B. That is why I wanted Harrison traded and thought he would be.

Your analysis is factually inaccurate, but if anyone will believe what they believe until h3ll freezes over or NH tells them otherwise, it's you.  Moroff played 2b,SS and 3b last year after called up. Started 13 games at 2b, 10 games at SS, and 3 games at 3b
