I think he would have more value than his on field production. The young players could benefit from a veteran who has played on good teams and in pressure situations. It's more about veteran leadership than batting average. Players could learn things from him that they take with them long after he's no longer on the roster.
What "young" players now this team will be there if and when we contend ? Maybe a couple pitchers and Hayes ? Who is Frazier going to help ? Adam Frazier ? Polanco ? Gonzales ? Moran ? Stallings ? The team is hot garbage . IMO.. the only "good" thing this team is capable of doing is locking down pick 1.1 for 2022. Yeah call up Frazier . Probably would cost the Pirats money they don't want to spend.
