Cherington needs to move his arms or legs every once in a while or else some protettors may come along and pull him down.
1 for Ray also- that signing will not sell many papers

ask your buddy Otis (bucs 60 etc. I realize you don't read them because the puzzles are too hard. ;D

MLB Morning Lineup has ranked the current rosters  using the (WAR) The bucs are ranked 27th. It's hard to believe that there are three teams that are worse. Marlins, Rangers and Rockies .

Is MLB Morning Lineup a Nutting publication?  ;)

The Fish finished above .500. How seriously should we take this Morning Lineup thing?

Being serious, the Marlins have quite a few of their better players on the Free Agent list and are not under contract- obviously that could change

So, back to the off season ...

If I'm Cherrington, I pick two of the following for the pen ... Yates, Hand, Osuna, Melancon, Colome, Peacock, Wilson, Jeffress, Doolittle, O'Day and Treinen. Bullpen needs good arms. Each one of these guys, absent Colome might do a "show me" contract. I like Treinen alot.

"According to MLB.com's Mark Feinsand, free agent starter Charlie Morton is drawing "some level of interest" from "at least" 8-10 teams."

I wonder if the Pirates are 1 of those 10 teams?

And if they are, I'm sure Morton is saying, "Forget it, you other 7-9 teams. The Pirates want me! It's a dream come true! Pittsburgh, here I come!"

Pirates make John Baker senior director of minor league operations. Anyone ever hear of him?

He used to be a lineman for the Steelers back in the 60s.
