For someone who was supposed to be a pitching stud and the future ace of the staff, Keller's career 3.86 ERA with nearly a hit per inning vs AAA batters was pretty mediocre. So it makes sense that he's a pretty poor pitcher vs MLB batters. Despite all the hype about him, he's never provided evidence that he can be even an average MLB pitcher. It's not as if he's blocking any minor leaguers. But the sooner Keller is gone, the better. I suspect he will knock around MLB for 7-8 years moving from team to team, always with a high ERA and a lot of losses. Maybe settle in someone's BP. But as a starter, he's a hack. You can dumpster dive for better pitchers.

these umps are just too much, I don't know if I can keep watching such obvious disparity in the calls. It's like they have a case of the ass against the Pirates since the first game.

These games could be the poster child for robo B/S calls. Because the B/S calls have been total BS.

If we had a manager, he would get himself ejected by letting the umps know how awful they are.

I agree, at some point he needs to make a scene, if for no other reason than for MLB to take notice. I don't think we're being homers by saying there has been a huge disparity in the balls and strikes calls, and the generous zone the Reds pitchers have been receiving

7 runs won't be enough. If it were up to me (and I can't imagine why it isn't ), this would be the last appearance for Keller in a Pirate uniform. He needs to be gone ASAP. The occasional good 5 inning game isn't worth all the other decrepit games when he can't even go that far. He's not getting better. He is what he is.
